1,000 Words

I had a great time at Foxwoods yesterday for Marc's birthday. It really felt like I was away on a mini-vacay thanks to the gorgeous pool and fancy amenities. Here are a few shots I took with my iPhone using the Shake It Polaroid app. Doesn't it make even basic photos look somewhat professional?! I was pretty impressed!

Dinner at Shrine was absolutely amazing. The sushi was so fresh it melted in your mouth. We liked it so much that we went back for a late lunch the next day!

The casinos were filled with lavish decorations and every last little detail was definitely taken into consideration. This chandelier was one of my favorites. It looked like a waterfall!

We stopped at Alta Strada for a night cap, where they had a sleek stainless steel bar complemented by dark wooden accents. I love how they had their wines and specials written on big chalkboards overhead.

We ended the night by enjoying a piece of Junior's world-famous cheesecake while lounging in our suite. I definitely felt like a VIP on our visit! Next time I hope to take advantage of one of the many relaxing spa treatments.

Bouncing Here and There and Everywhere

I love fun and unique home accents and this product is no exception. It's a chandelier made from over five thousand hand-strung gummi bears! There are only ten being made so they are very limited edition, which makes me want one even more. It's probably important to mention that the gummi bears are made of acrylic (not sugar) in order to withstand hungry kiddos and the heat of a 75 watt light bulb. Of course, the price is available only upon request, which is never a good thing. Wouldn't it be fun hanging in a breakfast nook or a playroom? This is the cutest thing I've seen in a long time--so creative!

Happy Friday!

Mood Lighting

I love wall sconces. I think they add an extra special touch to a room--more than just a floor or table lamp. They can really add a lot to a room or even tie into a theme. Here are some of my favorite finds.

I've been lusting after these pretty mirrored sconces from West Elm. I think they would be nice accents in a bedroom. Even more appealing--they're on sale for only $29 each. Yay!

I like this one too from Pottery Barn.

This magnifying sconce from Anthropologie is very unique and kinda has a Sherlock Holmes quality to it!

These twig sconces look like something my mom would like!

These look almost camp-inspired!

Which one is your favorite?
