Pinkberry has finally arrived! Watermelon is my new favorite flavor.
Tastes like summer!

Perfectly Edged
This amazing scalloped blazer arrived in the mail today and I can't wait to wear it all over Newport this weekend. I'm so lucky for friends like Tiane who can hunt down even the most impossible-to-find items. I first fell in love with the blazer when I saw Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere wearing it last week, but of course none of the Providence or local Massachusetts H&M's had it in stock. I even sent my sister to the Georgetown location on her lunch break, but she came up empty handed. Tiane was lucky enough to get hers put on hold in Chinatown and they had one in my size, too! Looks like it was meant to be.
Have I mentioned how much I love the scalloped edges?

Ethereal

I find this photo to be so appealing. I think it's the juxtaposition of the weightless, flowy fabric and structured, industrial backdrop & accessories that works perfectly. As soon as I saw it, the word ethereal popped into my head. That used to be my favorite word because it sounds like what it represents and I like that. Is it weird that I had/have a favorite word? Anyway, I hope you enjoy the shot as much as I do.
Happy fashion week! I sure wish I was in NYC browsing Elizabeth & James' pop up shop and taking in Deborah Lippmann's appearance at Barney's.

Toy Story Cuties
I wish it was my birthday right now because I'd order up some of these adorable Toy Story cupcakes. Lyndsay of Coco Cakes has done it again (she is waaay too talented)! I think the Mr. Potato Head is my favorite, but the little aliens are adorable too! Have you seen Toy Story 3? If not, you must go. It was hysterical and maybe a bit of a tear-jerker. I cannot get enough of these cupcakes, though. Hurry up, birthday!

Sugar Rush

I am head over heels in love with Planet Blue's collaboration with Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere for their summer lookbook. This should not come as a surprise to any of you, as I will use any excuse to reference her blog (because I am obsessed). The photo shoot took place on the Santa Monica pier and has a playful & vibrant feel to it. All of the outfits were styled by Emily and I think she did an amazing job! I love how she mixed in props like cotton candy, heart shaped sunglasses, and a vintage camera. These are just a few of my favorite shots and pieces from the summer collection. It makes me want to drop everything and jet to California to soak up the sun and wear dresses all year round.
Which item from the lookbook is your favorite? I keep revisiting this maxi dress and this military-inspired jacket, which could transition nicely to my fall wardrobe.

Braid Envy

I have been ridiculously obsessed with braids lately, from loose, tousled plaits to intricate fishtails, I love them all! I only wish I had the patience and dexterity to attempt one of these tricky dos. A classic braided updo always makes me think of Lauren Conrad for some reason. Her hair is so gorgeous and never too overdone. Which style is your favorite? I'm partial to the dramatic look in the first picture.
Can you braid? (if you can, I'm super jealous)

Swoon

I love this photo. It combines two of my favorite things: My Little Pony and Chanel nail polish. When I was a kid, I used to paint the toes (hooves?) of my own Little Ponies. Seriously. I was obsessed. This photo brought me right back to sitting on the porch at the beach house and giving my pony a pedi.
Image seen on The Cherry Blossom Girl. I love the girly feel to all of her photos. So pretty.

Lustworthy
I've had my eye on these staple pieces recently. They're somewhat pricey, but I think that I would get a lot of use out of them.
J. Crew leather moccasins in a fun color
J. Crew Fenton/Fallon chain necklace
Cute new Lululemon workout clothes
Marc by Marc Jacobs cinched hobo (love the stud embellishments and buttery soft texture)
Vince cowl neck leather jacket (tried this on and didn't want to take it off!)
What's on your current wish list?

Turtle Power

Three Baking Sheets to the Wind is quickly becoming one of my favorite cooking blogs, and not just because it has a fabulous name! Ali is an incredibly talented and creative baker who also has a soft spot for unique craft beers. I heard about her blog when I was reading an article about a DC cupcake design contest. She came up with the amazing metro map cupcake (pictured above) and I was mesmerized! I loved her idea and immediately Googled her blog.
I've been happily going through the archives over the past couple days. Ali's ability to write as if she's having a conversation with the reader is sheer talent and she's very relatable (important in the blogosphere). Anyways, I wanted to share this with you so you can check out her blog and see some of her fun projects yourself. I am absolutely smitten with those Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle caramel pretzel bites. Too clever!

Chunky Charms

The minute I laid eyes on this gorgeous necklace, I immediately thought of my sister, Austin. She has a huge collection of accessories and I know this unique piece would be a great addition to it. I love all of the different sizes and textures of charms and fabrics. It would be a gorgeous way to dress up a simple tank or t-shirt and the warm, coral colors are so summery.
Anthropologie always gets it right, don't they?
