Neiman Marcus always has the most unique and over-the-top window displays and installments. Check out these pretty iridescent butterflies hanging from the ceiling above the escalators. There were thousands of them. I felt like I was in Alice in Wonderland or somewhere magical (and far, far outside of Boston).

NM fact: butterflies are NM's logo and not all stores have butterflies.
butterflies are given to stores as an award for best visual display. it is a huge huge honor for the visual team to receieve them. the butterflies cost a couple grand (i am talking like 5 digits). once they are up they stay forever.
my favorite butterflies are at my mom's store in chevy chase. there is a window above them and when they sun shines through, it is amazinggggggg.
Interesting fact! Strange though, I feel like the NM in chevy chase is so run down!
