Oh, Ella Moss, why do you tempt me like this? The color is perfect and kind of reminds me of pistachio ice cream.

Field of Dreams is near the very top of my list of all-time favorite movies. Anytime I'm flipping through the channels and it's on, I feel obligated to watch it. It's just that good and (for me) it never gets old. Ever. It's just a feel-good movie that parents should watch with their kids and couples should watch together. The story is amazing and it involves a lot of baseball history, which is great in my book. There are so many scenes that I've seen literally hundreds of times, yet they still give me goosebumps and stir up a little nostalgia.
Anyway, there is a point to this post. The farm in Iowa where the movie was filmed is for sale! The entire lot is 193 acres and includes the gorgeous old farmhouse and (best of all) the actual field of dreams that Kevin Costner built as part of the movie. I think it would be such a unique and special place to live. Sadly, I don't have $5.4 million laying around and I'm not sure I could survive in the middle of nowhere Iowa, but it's certainly nice to dream. You can read all about the farm and see more photos here.
What's your fantasy home?

I am not going to lie, I love watching beauty pageants. I know, it's totally twisted and bizarre, but ever since I was a little girl, my dad and I would camp out in front of the tv and pick our favorite contestants. Plus, I usually got to stay up really late (like 10pm) to see the crowning of the winner. Pageants are a total guilty pleasure, which is why I haven't revealed to Marc what will be on tonight's agenda (post-Celtics playoff game, of course). Tonight the Miss USA pageant is aired live from Las Vegas (beginning at 7pm), and you better believe I'll be watching. I love critiquing the gowns and cheering for the hometown favorites, but mostly I love the interview portion of the show. Some of the things that these women say are utterly embarrassing (to say it nicely). Case in point: this disaster from Miss South Carolina back in 2007.
I can't wait to see what tonight has in store!

To celebrate my newfound enjoyment of sushi, I really think I need to own a pair of these sushi pajamas! Sarah Michelle Gellar rocked them on an episode of Buffy and they've also been worn on 30 Rock, Dawson's Creek, and Will & Grace. The Cat's Pajamas is famous for the sushi-print nighttime attire in different styles like sleep shirts and capris. The hardest part is deciding which one to buy! Below is a close-up of the fabric. Too cute!

I am completely in love with this Elizabeth and James dress. I think it's perfect for my cousin's wedding and I would definitely get a lot of use out of it throughout the summer (date nights, cocktail parties, trips to Newport). The possibilities are endless. I think the contrast between light chiffon and the dark leather belt is fantastic, not to mention the pockets. So convenient! The sweetheart neckline is a great alternative to the totally unflattering straight-across strapless that I avoid at all costs. The color would look great with a nice tan.
What do you think?

This bag has suddenly climbed to the top of my summer must-have list. It's feminine, without being too frilly, and perfectly structured. I'd probably detach the long shoulder strap, but I love the gold hardware. The pale petal-pink seems like it would go with almost everything in my summer wardrobe. Sadly, I have to wait a whole week just to find out the price. Boo!

Today I want to take time to wish my friend, Glenda of Taina Style, a very Happy Birthday! Glenda does an amazing job balancing being a fabulous girlfriend & mommy, having a career, and staying on top of all things fashion. Your boys are so lucky to have you! I hope you get to sleep in, spend time with your family, and enjoy some yummy birthday cake!
Have a great birthday, love! xo

I can't wait until it's warm enough to start heading to the beach for long, lazy out Saturdays spent soaking up sunshine. In the meantime, I've been browsing for some cute cover-ups to throw on over my swimsuit. My favorite is this striped number with a hood. It looks soft and worn-in, like something I've owned for years.
